Hot on the heels of Ford’s Mustang Mach-E NASCAR prototype, Chevrolet rolls out the Blazer-based EV.R. Electrification is shouldering its way into motorsports just as it has with our everyday new vehicles.

Cheverolet has just unveiled a new electric prototype called the Blazer EV.R NASCAR. The prototype offers a peek at NASCAR's battery-powered future.

Like the Ford, and like NASCAR's unbranded prototype, the three-motor setup makes the Blazer EV.R all-wheel drive. Those motors draw from a 78-kWh liquid-cooled battery, which is stored inside a modified Next Gen chassis. The car's suspension is also taken from that car, another common feature with the other two demonstrators.
