MARLBOROUGH, CT. (WFSB) - A member of an ambulance association was arrested for submitting fraudulent invoices for ambulance equipment. State police say that on October 28th, 2024, troopers were notified that a member of the Roy B. Pettengill Ambulance Association had been submitting fraudulent invoices for ambulance equipment.

State police alleged that that there were numerous invoices for reimbursements of automated external defibrillators that were never purchased.

State police say a Marlborough man was charged Wednesday with larceny after allegedly submitting more than 20 fraudulent invoices for ambulance equipment. Mark Merritt, 60, was charged with first-degree larceny and 22 counts of third-degree forgery.
