Free-agent infielder Yoán Moncada has agreed to a one-year contract worth $5 million with the Los Angeles Angels, reports the New York Post. The team has not yet confirmed the signing. Moncada, 29, hit free agency by virtue of the White Sox declining his $25 million team option for 2025.

Moncada, 29, played only 12 games with the White Sox last season, missing most of the year with a left adductor strain. He can play third base and second.

Before he opted to head out to California and join the Los Angeles Angels, infielder Yoán Moncada reportedly had a chance to go from the Chicago White Sox to the Chicago Cubs.
