Will Wade wasn't short on confidence in his introduction as NC State's head coach. The former LSU and McNeese State head coach made his first appearance in Raleigh on Tuesday and set the bar as high as reasonably possible for the coming 12 months:

Will Wade lived up to his reputation as a basketball “gangster” during his introductory press conference on Tuesday at N.C. State. After guiding McNeese State to the second round of the NCAA Tournament, Wade made a strong-ass statement upon taking over at the ACC school.

Ever since he got fired from LSU amid a recruiting scandal, it was clear that Will Wade was on his way back to the highest level of college basketball. After one season off, Wade went to McNeese State for two seasons before accepting the head coach job at NC State after the 2024-25 season.
