A child tested positive for fentanyl after ingesting mystery pills that were reportedly discovered at a day care in Victorville. On March 18, San Bernardino County deputies responded to La Petite Academy at 14040 Bear Valley Road after reports that blue pills were found in a classroom.

The deputy was in pursuit of a stolen vehicle at the time of the crash, officials said. He succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
