More than 20 people have been arrested during a protest in London in support of Palestine Action, a group which has been banned under UK anti-terrorism laws.

The campaign late on Friday lost an urgent appeal against the parliamentary decision to proscribe it as a terrorist organization.

British police on Saturday arrested more than 20 people on suspicion of terrorism offences after they demonstrated beneath a statue of Mahatma Gandhi in London in support of the Palestine Action group.
