On Monday, Ryan (Texas) five-star offensive tackle Ty Haywood decommitted from the Alabama Crimson Tide, according to On3. Haywood did not sign with Alabama during the early signing period and speculation immediately began that he would eventually decommit from the class.

Alabama football lost a member of its 2025 recruiting class Monday. More than a month after the Crimson Tide signed 21 players, the majority of which enrolled with the program early, five-star offensive tackle Ty Haywood told On3 he was ending his previous commitment to Alabama.
