TULSA, Okla. — Oklahoma Highway Patrol said two Oklahoma Turnpike Authority workers were killed after being hit by a semi-truck. The accident happened at about 2 p.m. on Aug. 18, near eastbound mile marker 315, in Ottawa County. OHP said one worker was inside an OTA vehicle, while the other was on foot picking up trash.

According to OHP, the driver of the semi told troopers he had dropped a GPS device and was bending down to pick it up when the crash happened.

A statement from OSHP said four people inside of a tractor-trailer died in the crash: Rolando Torres Lebron, 27, Ayeisha Morales, 23, and two children whose identities were not disclosed. Investigators said Lebron is from Buffalo, NY.

The crash happened on the turnpike at milepost 82 in Sandusky County around 4:40 a.m. A statement from OSHP said four people inside of a tractor-trailer died in the crash. The victims were identifed as Rolando Torres Lebron, 27, Ayeisha Morales, 23, and two children whose names were not disclosed.
