Several rounds of rain could very well bring a flood concern. DFW and surrounding areas could pick up over 2-3 inches of rain. Storms are still likely into Saturday early afternoon but the severe threat will be lower. We look dry by the end of the weekend.
A severe thunderstorm watch is in effect for some North Texas counties Friday morning. The National Weather Service issued the watch for Jack, Wise, Cooke, Grayson and Fannin counties until 10 a.m. For the rest of the day Friday, expect scattered showers and thunderstorm activity on-and-off throughout the day.

That all stayed west of the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. As the severe weather hit North Texas, many flights to both DFW Airport and Love Field Airport were canceled or delayed.
