A severe thunderstorm warning was issued by the National Weather Service in Norman at 6:26 p.m. on Sunday, June 8.

"The storm which prompted the warning has weakened below severe limits, and no longer poses an immediate threat to life or property. Therefore, the warning will be allowed to expire. However, small hail is still possible with this thunderstorm," according to the NWS Hanford CA. The warning is in effect until 4:30 p.m.

A severe thunderstorm warning was released by the NWS Newport/Morehead City NC on Sunday at 2:10 p.m. in effect until 3:30 p.m. The warning is for Carteret, Craven, Duplin, Jones, Onslow and Pamlico counties.
