The men's NCAA Tournament will begin whittling down the field of 64 on Thursday with a smorgasbord of college basketball action for fans to digest. Perhaps the toughest of the four regions is the South, which has the tourney's No. 1 overall seed -- the Auburn Tigers -- looking to defend their territory against a host of powerful foes. Among them: No. 2 Michigan State and No. 5 Michigan, the regular-season and tournament champions of the Big Ten. There's also No. 3 Iowa State, which took Auburn down to the wire when they met in November. Even No. 8 seeded Louisville is no pushover, especially playing in its home state of Kentucky.
