Joshua Levy has announced he is stepping down as the United States Attorney for the District of Massachusetts.

On Monday, United States Attorney for the District of Massachusetts Joshua S. Levy announced that he will be stepping down on Jan. 17, a few days before President-elect Donald Trump is inaugurated.

United States District Attorney Joshua S. Levy announced he will step down as U.S. attorney for the District of Massachusetts later this month. “Serving as the U.S. Attorney for the District of Massachusetts has truly been the highlight of my career,” said Levy in a statement.

Levy said his resignation will take effect on Friday, Jan. 17, marking the end of his second tenure with the Department of Justice.
