Duke head coach Jon Scheyer and freshman phenom Cooper Flagg are on an incredible run together. After a 28-3 regular season and an ACC tournament win, the Blue Devils have stormed through the first four rounds of the NCAA tournament and are onto the Final Four for the first time since 2015.
The Blue Devils’ trip to San Antonio, after Saturday’s 85-65 win over Alabama, was the product of years of planning to build around Cooper Flagg, and hard-learned lessons.
For the umpteenth time, a national media member asked the Duke basketball head coach if Cooper Flagg could become a sophomore in Durham.
Krzyzewski served as the head coach at Duke from 1980 to 2022, establishing himself as an NCAA legend. During his time with the Blue Devils, Krzyzewski led Duke to five national titles, 13 Final Four appearances and 15 ACC Tournament titles.
Jon Scheyer won a national championship as a Duke senior in 2010, and he is coaching the Blue Devils in the Final Four next weekend.
Cooper Flagg is the likely No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 NBA Draft and is one of two favorites for national player of the year.
