President Donald Trump's 25% tariffs on Indian goods will do little to slow the role of the Asian country as a key hub for manufacturing iPhones, even when it means more expensive smartphones for U.S.

Between April and June, India reportedly supplied 71 per cent of all iPhones that were sold in the US market, a 31 per cent increase from last year.

Most US iPhones are now made in India rather than China, as Apple rejigs its supply chain to avoid tariffs on products imported into America from China.
