The New Orleans attacker visited the city twice in the months prior to New Year’s, and used Meta smart glasses to film Bourbon Street and plan out his attack, FBI New Orleans Special Agent in Charge Lyonel Myrthil said Sunday.

The man who drove a truck into a crowd of people in New Orleans on New Year’s Day, killing 14, had previously scouted the French Quarter and recorded video with his Meta smart glasses, the FBI said.

The FBI released new video on Sunday of Shamsud-Din Jabbar, the suspect accused of killing 14 people during the New Year's Day attack in New Orleans. The agency also revealed that Jabbar visited the city twice in the weeks before the attack and recorded video of the area using Meta smart glasses.
