Soap opera veteran Denise Alexander, best known for her starring roles on 'General Hospital' and 'Days of Our Lives', has died at the age of 85.

On Saturday, executive producer of “General Hospital" Frank Valentini announced the death of Denise Alexander, who portrayed Dr. Lesley Webber for nearly five decades.

She played Hume Cronyn and Jessica Tandy’s daughter on the radio and Susan Martin on ‘Days of Our Lives’ before spending a quarter-century in Port Charles.
