The first domino of Duke's likley offseason overhaul fell on Wednesday when star freshman Kon Knueppel officially declared for the 2025 NBA Draft. Knueppel is the first Blue Devils player to announce his draft decision.

Duke’s Kon Knueppel is heading to the NBA after one college season. The 6-foot-7, 217-pound wing announced his decision Wednesday after a season that included him being named MVP of the Atlantic Coast Conference Tournament while helping the Blue Devils reach the Final Four.

After the NCAA Tournament, all eyes turned toward the NBA Draft. While it's clear that Flagg is considered the consensus No. 1 overall pick, Knueppel had a decision to make. He could have returned to Duke for his second season and likely been the leader for the Blue Devils, but Knueppel couldn't turn down a lottery draft grade.
