Scott McLaughlin had finished his race at Laguna Seca just before the Brickyard 400 ended. He hoped "the haters enjoyed" Bubba Wallace's win.

Facing overtime on Sunday at the Brickyard 400 at the iconic Brickyard Motor Speedway, Wallace was on the front row heading toward a restart. He had superstar driver Kyle Larson on his outside, and for a moment at the green flag, they were even. And then there was Wallace, surging ahead and away to the biggest win of his career.

The Brickyard 400 NASCAR Cup Series race on July 27 at Dover Motor Speedway is under a weather delay for rain with four laps to go. Bubba Wallace held a 4-second lead over Kyle Larson before the caution flag waved for rain with six laps to go.

It was almost three years without a win for Bubba Wallace. But the stars aligned and he capitalized on his Crown Jewel moment at the Brickyard 400.

Indiana native Chase Briscoe won the pole in what was a top-five lockout of the front row by Toyota. Ty Gibbs and Ty Dillon will be battling for the NASCAR In-Season Challenge crown in which the winner takes home $1 million. The stages today are 50-50-60.

Five cars will drop to the rear of the field before the start of Sunday's Brickyard 400 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway (2 p.m. ET, TNT).
