Brewers trade with Rays for catcher Danny Jansen, an Appleton West alum
The Milwaukee Brewers have traded for catcher Danny Jansen from the Tampa Bay Rays. Minor league infielder Jadher Areinamo was sent to the Rays in exchange for Jansen. Jansen, an Appleton West High School graduate, provides catching depth while William Contreras recovers from a fractured finger.
The Milwaukee Brewers have been busy and pulled off yet another trade on Monday. Milwaukee has been active in the trade market really all season to this point.
The Major League Baseball trade deadline is 6 p.m. ET this coming Thursday, July 31, and the action is beginning to pick up.
