Costco's extended gas station hours and new openings have resulted in record-breaking sales. The retailer reports increased member usage and satisfaction.

The new changes come after a similar policy was rolled out for their gas stations to much success with the CEO to announce: "two of our all-time highest gallon weeks in the U.S. during the last month"

The Costco food court has always been a popular spot for shoppers to grab a quick bite, and the affordable prices are also appealing to members. Costco is also a common spot for members to fill up their cars with gas, especially because of the cheaper prices in comparison to most other gas stations in California.

Executive Members make up 73% of Costco's sales despite representing only 37.6 million of the company's 79.6 million memberships, according to Costco data. The cheaper Gold Star membership costs $65 per year. Costco raised the price of its Executive and Gold Star memberships last year.
