The House of Tugu comes with my highest recommendation. It is quite an extraordinary place located in Old Town Jakarta. It’s housed in an expansive and meandering home that once belonged to a Chine…Full review by 816karlk

The hotel is an experience itself. Jakarta is a city I wouldn’t recommend for tourism, but if you go, I would definitely recommend this hotel. It’s a big museum. Staff is very kind and they all speak…Full review by Valentin B

Uber no longer exists in Indonesian and Malaysia. It was taken over by Grab so only Grab or Go-jek/Go-car exists. If you download the Gojek App it includes Go-car and Blue Bird taxis too,#R# #R# I think almost impossible to visit Sarinah after 3pm because the traffic jams will be very bad on a Thursday. On Sunday is much better. Also on Sundays the road outside Sarinah is close to traffic for Car Free Day which you might find interesting. The driver will stop you behind Sarinah, Sarinah is famous for it's handicrafts and batik.
Does anyone have any recommendations for a great place to stay in Jakarta Old Town that is close to Fatahillah Square? Battling to find an Airbnb or Boutique Hotel.. Don't want to stay in the big hotels, looking for a smaller place with character :)
