The Prairie Creek website DOES NOT clarify your question. My father used to be able to obtain a free bank permit as a senior before he past away but...that practice has also been stopped. Daily bank permits are $3 & an annual permit is still around $15 or so. If in doubt, the rates are posted on signs at the campground entrance. Their website states "after hours permits " can be either obtained, paid for, applied for, or taken care of via some process unknown to me, "on the east side of the park office" Hope this helps. J.
